Three years ago, the Microsoft issued a new version of Windows XP – Media Center Edition (MCE, www.microsoft.com/mediacenter). That version represents a new strategy for Microsoft, and its goal is to transform your office PC into a living room by integrating all digital media (TV, DVD, Internet, PC, Home Security, Hotel/House temperature adjustment, etc.) into one device – Media Center Edition (MCE) PC.

This device integrates all functions of digital media and can be simply run by using a remote control (instead of a mouse). TV screen (of a big diameter) is used as a display instead of small PC monitor like before. Internet, as we know is made and designed for surfing, sitting in front of a monitor which means a lots of information and relatively small font letters, while MCE PC shows all this content (TV, films, choosing radio stations, searching for hotel accommodations, etc.) on TV screen that you watch sitting comfortably on your sofa. Watching it on distance, existing web pages are not of much use.
